We’re accustomed to protests over what we see in videos of police actions. In Charlotte, we’re learning that not being allowed to see the content can lead to similar protests. As the National Guard moves in to try calm protests, “Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Kerr Putney said at a news conference Thursday that the family of Keith Lamont Scott has asked to view video of his deadly encounter with police, and authorities are trying to accommodate them.
