According to a recent survey from Esquire and NBC, rage is all the rage these days. And that’s especially true when it comes to white Americans. “Seventy-three percent of whites say they get angry at least once a day.” And about a third of them read something in the news that makes them angry “a few times a day.” Is that because of their experiences and worldview, or because cable and Internet news peddlers (like many politicians) know that anger is a product American consumers never tire of buying?
