Jamal Trulove has provided us (you, me, and The San Francisco Police Gang force) with a reasonably good metaphor for our times. Trulove is currently on trial for murder. He was identified in part because of his brief appearance on the VH-1 reality show I Love New York 2.

He only lasted one episode, but that along with his follow-up rant/rap on his MySpace page helped confirm his identity and ultimately lead to his arrest. Here’s hoping the judge tacks on a couple extra years for the combined crime of appearing on a bad reality show and oversharing on a bad social network.
